Church in Puerto Rico!

I've been looking forward to church all this week and today, I was able to attend my first time here in Puerto Rico. Luckily the church is only about 10 minutes away!

It's called the Rio Grande Branch. I tripped walking up to the building but was greeted warmly by the Branch President Garcia. The building is small and is very open to allow air flow through the building. The Spirit is so strong there! I was so impressed by the Saints here. They are so humble and full of faith. Today was the fast and testimony meeting. The first person to bare her testimony was a service missionary, she testified of the power of the Priesthood. Another person talked about how God will consistently strengthen us and give us more to carry because it makes us stronger and able to bare more. I even bore my testimony and they all smiled at me as I spoke about the experience with the different faiths. The most powerful to me came as Elder Kersh from Santaquin got up to bare his testimony. He quoted his favorite scripture D&C18:10 " The worth of souls is great in the sight of God." His testimony was so sure and powerful as he thanked Heavenly Father for the chance to be amongst the Saints here in Puerto Rico. It made me teary eyed because I would love to be serving my mission again!

Church was such a humbling and needed experience here while in Puerto Rico. The people don't have much but they truly love Our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. You can see the joy in their eyes and smiles.
